For the last six years, the low-cost airline Norwegian Air has relied on two uniforms for the short-haul and long-haul crew working on Boeing 737 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The uniforms were built around the Boeing 737 and the “Moods of Norway” with a very recognizable design.
But Norwegian has decided to simplify the look and introduce a much more unified uniform that is meant to be worn across all fleets.
With more passengers transferring from short-haul to long-haul flights and vice versa, the airline decided that a unified airline will provide more consistency and be more recognizable for customers.
The new look uniform is influenced by some of the same designs on the short-haul uniforms, as well as some of the elements from the Mood of Norway.
Tartan and felt hats will no longer be apart of the uniform, but the skirt design and skinny ties will remain the same.
Although no exact release date has been announced, the airline stated that the simpler uniform will be introduced sometime in early 2020.
The new look uniform will also cost less to create, saving the airline some money while also expanding on its brand image.
