American Airlines is teaming up with Lands’ End, a leading retailer known for high-quality apparel for the whole family, to develop new uniforms for its 51,000 employees that are set to debut in 2021.
According to Frequent Business Traveler, the second uniform trial will begin on May 10th and run until July 2019. American Airlines completed its first field tests back in April.
American’s past airline steward outfits were tested in September 2016. They were met with objections of unfavorably responses from staff, such as allergic reactions, which incited the uniform change.
As it stands, all American Airlines employees will be able to place orders for the new uniforms starting sometime in the fall of 2019, with a winter delivery date.
