According to an in-depth report by Time Magazine on the newly started ‘Space Force’, President Trump has suggested that the First Lady, Melania Trump, can help in designing the Space Force uniforms.

Space Force is a Space Warfare Service Branch of the US. It is the latest edition of the US Armed Forces. This independent military branch was established on December 20, 2019. Since then, it has been under constant speculation of its purpose and futility.

The report also highlights the proceedings of a meeting that was held on January 15, 2020, between Gen. John Raymond, the Chief of Space Operations, Defense Secretary Mark Esper, other military leaders, and also President Trump.

Trump was given a range of poster-size photos to select the Space Force’s official seal. Reportedly, a delta symbol was chosen by him for the seal as well as the flag and logo. They were unveiled last week.

Time Magazine has also reported that, at the end of the meeting, Trump suggested that the First Lady “should help design Space Force uniforms because of her impeccable fashion sense.”

Given that Melania Trump had attended elite fashion shows for years and is a former model, Trump thought that the design job would be a natural fit for her.

Space Force is yet to decide on many major design decisions. It includes the dress uniform, insignia, unit patches, and rank structures. It has unveiled only the designs of service seal, logo, and utility uniform nametape so far.
